Late post

sorry for the late post folks, but i got so busy fixing the base system for Sleepy Hollow, that i totally lost track of time. anyway, not much going on, just doing my thing. upgraded my tv package, saving myself about 10 bucks a month. What am i doing right now you ask, well i’m compiling source… this stuff takes forever i promise you. If you ever think about creating your own distro… way very heavily how much time you can denote to it, else you’ll regret it. But if you start, finish, or else you’ll regret not finishing it. And oh my god, the rewards are enormous. You’ll be able to say to yourself and any friends “I created this!” even if it sucks, thats still huge bragging rights. anyway, figuring out the minimum packages necessary to build a base station was a pain in the ass… so i went ahead and grabbed lfs, and made a few modifications, and its just beautiful. I’m still figuring out a couple of modifications that i want to do, but if i can’t figure em out, i’m not too worried, their only aesthetic anyway. Thanks for reading, sorry for the late post, and see you next week

Sleepy Hollow

Well, finally got around to mentioning sleepy hollow on this blog. anyway working out the ground work, the remote administration interface is a pain in the ass to set up right now. but hey, its all part of the learning process. sleepy hollow is a headless linux distro. well not really a distro just yet, still in the alpha stages, will beta test soon. Anyways, right now i’m figuring out how to best integrate the web-based interface into the server so that you can use any web browser to configure the system. currently only the ssh portion works right, but heh, the project is less then a month old. we’ll see how it goes
