Well, it seems its a good thing I just backed up all my home directory yesterday, cuz today, i did an update, and one of the programs that updated set a 32-bit kernel as a install dependancy and automatically replaced my standard kernel. Ok, there is a slight issue here… I’m running a 64-bit linux OS, if you replace my kernel with a 32 bit one, things might not work so hot eh? I didn’t catch it till it was too late. And since the new 32-bit kernel and the old 64-bit kernel had the same name, i can’t go back to the 64 bit kernel on which everything works. Go figure. Well, i’m fed up to the point that i refuse to install a new distro. I’ve got my LFS cd loaded up on my computer, and i’m going to compile my own distro if it kills me. I’ve already started this project in a VM on my other system…. but i’m going to do it in this live environment for better or worse.
Sides…. whats the worst that could happen *lol, i’m inviting trouble now*
